Faces of Frankie

Frankie has started making this funny face...it's his frustrated/pissed off face. Imagine him spitting/blowing raspberries while he's making it.

Showing off 2 teeth!  (The right top & bottom have since come in as well.)

Memorial Day Weekend

Every Memorial Day weekend I admit, I get a little bratty.  I get jealous of the people that make plans as a family and may act a little mean towards Frank...maybe...just a little mean...because inevitably every Memorial Day weekend, there is a soccer tournament which means I hardly get to see him.  Luckily (for me!) he didn't have to coach on Monday so we did get 1 out of 3 days with him.

It was super hot this Memorial Day weekend.  Frankie and I popped over to Mike & MK's on Saturday for a bit for a dip in their pool and then tried to stay inside as much as we could the rest of the weekend.  On Monday morning we went downtown to beat the heat and the crowds and walked around the Roosevelt & MLK Memorials.  It was perfect and we were back home before 11am.  We spent the rest of the day around the house and capped the day off with a BBQ with just the three of us.
Snoozing

I think it's safe to say...

...that Frankie is sleeping through the night.  I waited about two weeks before posting anything because I didn't want to jinx myself.  I  know I said the weekend before Memorial Day I was going to get stern and put a stop to the wake-up-and-nurse thing, but...

The first night of my determined new routine, I let Frankie cry for about 5 minutes before I decided that it was just plain easier to get up and nurse him.  Then something magical happened the second night.  He didn't wake up.  And then it happened again.  I think he heard Frank and I talking about letting him cry and got scared. ;)  Over the past two weeks, he's been sleeping for about 11 hours pretty consistently.  One night he woke up at 4am, but I'm pretty sure that's because his 4th (!) tooth was bothering him.  The past two nights he's woken up at 6am, but I knew he was still tired, so I nursed him and he fell back asleep until 8ish.  It feels pretty damn good to get ~7 hours of sleep each night!  Woot!  Woot! :)
