Stay on the Left!

This phrase, “Stay on the left!”, often preceded our journeys over the last week, as I felt compelled to remind Frank which side of the road to drive on while we vacationed in the USVI. Frank and I took a much needed vacation and (thanks to his parents for giving us a week of their timeshare) spent a week on St. Thomas, which proved to be exactly what we needed. After a rainy start (the first two days were almost total washes), the sun shined bright for the rest of the week and gave us ample opportunity to explore the beautiful white sand beaches of St. Thomas & St. John. Even though our timeshare was set directly on a beach, we took advantage of our rental car and explored several other beaches – The more popular Magen’s Bay on St. Thomas and Trunk & Cinnamon Beaches on St. John along with a few others that are off the usual beaten path (my personal favorite was Lindquist Beach on St. Thomas…a near desolate beach more popular with the locals than the tourists.) We ate delicious meals, relaxed in the sun (I managed to squeeze in three books!), and just enjoyed each other’s company. Here are some pics from the week:
